Macron’s Role in Russia–Ukraine Relations

This 14 July, France did more than commemorate the fall of the Bastille. On the Champs-Élysées, Macron’s vision of Europe was also on parade. The national holiday, through which France has celebrated its Republic for nearly a century and a half, was turned into a stage for promoting the Coalition of the Willing and expressing support for Ukraine. This raised a fundamental question: where does the French state end, and where does Macron’s Europe begin?
